The Building Site - How the Huff n’ Puff Slot Works
Before you spin on Huff N’ Puff, you must choose a denomination, with the options being 1c, 2c, 5c or 10c. Higher denomination versions are found in high-limit rooms, where the 10c will have a 50-line minimum and you can bet up to $2 per line.
The game features the ‘Reel Ways’ winning system where symbols must line up on adjacent reels from left to right to win.
Pig Symbols Pay Best
The three pigs are the highest paying. First there’s the older, serious looking pig, who is the foreman of the group. Line this pig up on all five reels and you win 300 coins. The middle paying pig seems to be the one doing all the work, as he is seen carrying an axe. This pig has a top prize of 200 coins. Any good workman needs downtime, and the third pig has plenty of that as he lazes on a log. Five of these pigs on consecutive reels are worth 125 coins.
A box of tools and traffic cones make up the other standard themed symbols. The playing cards J, Q, K and A complete the low end of the pay table.
Look out for the big bad wolf who acts as the wild symbol in Huff n’ Puff. He appears on reels 2, 3 and 4 only and will substitute for any other symbol apart from the bonus scatter.
Huff N’ Puff Bonus Feature with Jackpot Potential
The game’s bonus symbol is a golden coloured hard hat with an image of a pig on the front.
Land six or more of these symbols anywhere on the reels and you enter the bonus feature. You are awarded an immediate 6 free spins.
A frame will be added to the position of each triggering symbol. When the spins start, more frames will appear every time you land one of those hard hats. If there is already a frame around it, the frame will upgrade to a stronger material. A third time will see the frame become the strongest material possible (the reason for the different strengths becomes evident at the end of the feature).
Going back to the Three little Pigs story, these show a straw house, wooden house, and a brick house.
Any time you land three golden hard hats on a spin during the feature, an extra free spin is added to your total. If you land a bonus symbol on top of the strongest frame at this point, you win an instant 20x your total bet – a huge win if you can get it.
Wolf Now Springs into Action
At the end of the spins, the frames will transform into different houses. The lightest frames will turn into straw houses, the middle frames into wooden houses, with the strongest frames transforming into mansions. At this point, the wolf appears and blows all the houses down. Each house that falls will give the following awards:
- Straw House: Between 50x and 150x line bet multiplier
- Wood House: Between 150x and 1,500x line bet multiplier, the minor bonus, or the mini bonus.
- Brick House / Mansion: Between 750x and 7,500 line bet multiplier, the Grand, Major, minor or mini bonuses.
You have more chance of winning the jackpots based on the size of your stake, with the best chances coming if you play for the maximum 10c stake per line.
