How Do Rich Little Piggies Hog Wild Slots Work?
The basic format of the two Rich Little Piggies games are the same. The only difference being that they offer slightly different bonus rounds. For the purpose of this review, the Hog-Wild game will be focused on.
Hog Wild’s basic reel set up is the standard five reels showing three symbols on each. However, before the start of each spin a series of stacked symbols are allocated to one randomly selected mystery symbol. These are covered on the reels at first, before revealing which symbol is the chosen one. With so many potential instances of this one symbol, there is every chance of multiple wins across many win lines.

On the reels are a series of humorous symbols featuring pigs on vacation. They are either lounging in the sun or playing the guitar on the beach. They are joined by seashells and surf boards as the wild symbol. Alongside the themed symbols are the playing cards from Ace through to Ten which fill the lower end of the pay table.
Rich Little Piggies Slots: Colourful Pigs That Pop to Trigger Bonuses
The crux of the game is to feed the pigs above the reels. There is a blue one on the left, a yellow one in the middle and a red one to the right.
As you play the base game coins will appear on the reels. These are uncovered when the mystery symbols appear. The coins are in blue, yellow and red. The coin will then jump and feed the appropriately coloured pig above. This is where the game gets entertaining. When fed the pig will expand. Eventually the pig will become so large that it pops, launching a bonus game.
Three Distinct Bonus Games (Multiple Triggers Possible)
In the Hog-Wild version of the game, the three bonus rounds are as follows:
- Free Games: Below the blue pig to the left, you see the number of free games you will win. The number usually starts off below 10, but will rise with each successive coin it is fed. Once the blue pig gets too large, the free games feature is activated, awarding you those spins.
- Jackpot Free Games: In this free game’s bonus feature led by the yellow pig you have a chance of winning one of the six jackpots. These are the mini, the minor, the maxi, the major, the grand and the mega jackpot. Each of the jackpots has a meter below it. The coins can now feature a jackpot on them, and the coin will jump up and fill the appropriate meter. For the smaller jackpots you need just two coins, with this number increasing as the jackpots grow.
- Wilds: The Wilds feature gives this version of the game its name. You start with 15 wilds beneath the red pig and this number will grow each time the pig is fed. When you activate the feature, all those wilds now appear as additions on the reels. A number of spins will hopefully feature full stacks of wilds and the large pay outs that it can bring. It’s not unusual to see 75 or more wilds added to the reels.
If you’re lucky, you can activate two or even three bonuses at once. The good news is, once one of the pigs lands it bonus, the other two pigs will remain the same size as before. Handy if they’re large already.
