Had a couple of sessions of poker over the weekend, and had it in mind to return to the subject of poker getting nastier / ev of berating fish line of thinking. Instead of bemoaning the horrible abuse dished out even in trivial money situations, I figured I’d look at things from another perspective.

Just finished a re-writing marathon over at Omaha Planet, it has taken a solid week of focused 12 hour days… the good news is that it has been worth it. The site just needs some final technical tweaks – which will happen tomorrow – and then it can go up…

This post is the result of a readers question (thanks James!). HUDs or ‘heads-up-displays’ are a common piece of poker software used by cash game pros to get reads, and thus an advantage on their opponents… Here I will debate whether they are a necessary addition for SNG players looking to grind up a bankroll.

Had the idea for this post while mindlessly pushing the trolley (cart) around the supermarket yesterday... It is all very easy to say 'you need to plug leaks in your game', the problem here is that newer players in particular might not actually know what kind of thing they are looking for. I have come up with a list of 79 possible poker leaks below, some are broad and others more detailed - it would be great to see a few more added by readers!

Party Poker have introduced a new game – Double Holdem– and you know what? It is actually very good! In the name of service I had two sessions of he 6-max no-limit version yesterday (limit is also available). Here are my first impressions:

I love a milestone, you see, running poker websites full time is kind of, well, ongoing.... so a nice milestone or two gives you a chance to sit back and enjoy for a moment. We passed 2000 readers for the '$16 Per Hour SNG Blueprint' course over the weekend. Positive feedback continues to appear in my mailbox too, and with the current rates of new readers I'm hopefull we can beat 3000 by xmas...
