OnGame Poker Steps SNGs
Red Kings Poker ‘King Of The Hill Steps Sit N Go Tournaments
OnGame are a busy network containing some of well known European and worldwide brands – though they are not open to US players at this time. They have an excellent ‘steps SNG’ setup which is based on cash and separate qualifiers to the internal tournament events such as the ‘Champion Chip’. They are very much aimed at the recreational / fun players found on the OnGame network and give you the opportunity to turn $1 into a huge $2500 via 4 levels and some great feeder tournaments too.
This article is part of my ‘Complete Guide To Steps SNGs’ and will take a standard format so that you can compare the games between sites quickly and easily. I will start with a description of the games on offer and buy-in levels. Next the prizes and any special features – before summing up by comparing the Red Kings Steps SNGs with those from other sites.

Before I start a word about Red Kings – a site which I rate very highly for their great software and recreational player base (think: profitable!). What is more you get a special $300 bonus the first time you get dealt the 2 red kings in a cash game – on top of a choice of bonuses, the 3 smallest being 100% matched to $250, $500 or $1000 (just use SNG250, SNG500 or SNG1000 when you register to claim). I think you will notice the quality difference – so make sure you check out Red Kings Poker for yourself.

OnGame Steps SNGs At Red Kings Poker – Games And Buy-In Levels
The standard step SNG system contains 4 main stages – though the sub-qualifiers to step 1 really make this up to 4. for those who do not wish to start at Step 1 there is a differently formatted feeder game to step #3 too. Here is a rundown of the buy-in levels.
Feeder To Step #1 - $1+20c / $3+40c
Step #1 - $8+$2
Step #2 - $22+$3
Additional Feeder To Step #3 - $20+$5
Step #3- $73+$7
The Final - $230+$15
Standard tables are 10-handed, with spots 1 and 2 getting a place in the next stage and 3rd getting a ‘try again’ either at the same stage or a lower one. There are also some small cash prizes awarded to help round up the entry fees.
Prizes for the final step are for 3 places and are $2500 for 1st, $650 for 2nd and $350 for 3rd. You might have noticed that 1st place contains an ‘overlay’ (added cash) of $1200 above the entry fees total. This is a huge incentive to play, though is somewhat balanced by the higher fees that in Standard SNGs.

Red Kings Poker Steps SNGs – Tournament Entry Alternatives
Red Kings Steps now also cover two types of tournament entries, the paths are kept separate – so make sure you choose the ‘King Of The Hill’ or ‘Champion Chip Qualifier’ (for example) before you join.
Champion Chip is the weekly ‘big one’ for the OnGame Network – a tournament with $300k guaranteed in prizes and a $190+$10 entry fee. Steps SNGs make a great way for smaller bankroll players to win a seat, and start at just $1+20c. Other tournaments which feature Steps SNG qualifiers include the live GSOP events held in locations around Europe.

Red Kings | OnGame Steps Sit N Goes – How They Compare + Next Steps
Red Kings take the Steps concept and put their own unique twist on it. While I like the King of The Hill games, the lack of exit points and higher fees are worth noting. Of course, this is more than made up for by the $1200 ‘overlay’ for the winner – I guess this is a big boost if you are already a SNG expert! I’d recommend non-US players to take a look at both the cash and (particularly) the tournament qualifiers – you will be amazed how many recreational players can be found on this network.
Remember, SNG Planet readers get a choice of bonuses at Red Kings Poker, with $250, $500 or $1000 to choose from with bonus codes SNG250, SNG500 or SNG1000. This premier site is certainly worth checking out for yourself – click to visit Red Kings Poker now!
