How Does The Battle Of The Planets SNG Promotion Work?
There are 8 ‘Planets’ representing buy-ins from $1 through to $300+, then for each planet there are 2 ‘Orbits’ (SNG leaderboards), one for high volume players and one for lower volume players.
The low volume SNG leader-board is divided into sets of 20 games, your best set in terms of finished achieved will go forward each week. For the higher volume players the ‘high-orbit’ games work the same way – only in sets of 100. Your best set contributes to your weekly and monthly leaderboard standings.
Points depend on the buy-in level and the number of people playing in the SNG (up to 27 players). The points are awarded for paying places, for example top 2 in a 6-player SNG and top 5 in a 27-player game. Heads-up SNGs and Satellites do not count.
What About The Prizes?
Prizes are awarded for both the low and high orbit leaderboard depending on the buy-in level. There are more paying places at the lower levels than at the highest levels, since this is where the majority of players will be found.
Each week cash prizes will be awarded to those on the Pokerstars SNG leaderboards, totals range from $3k to $10k (split 50/50 between high / low ‘orbits’). In addition the top 10 of each ‘Planet’ will win a ticket into a $50,000 prize pool triple shootout freeroll tournament held at the end of each month.
