Win A Trip To Vegas To Play In A World Series Side Event In 2016

There are a total of 68 events in the 2016 World Series of Poker Schedule. While the general public think of this as a single tournament, poker fans around the world are already looking forward to more than a month of action, and a lot of new faces breaking though by winning those coveted bracelets.

This page covers the opportunities to win tickets to the smaller events in the World Series of Poker schedule online. Most prizes also include hotel and travel expenses, and give you entry into one or more $1k or $1.5k events. With high 6-figure prizes, these events will change the poker career of many players – and maybe even change the course of some player’s lives.

At the moment there are 2 sites offering side event prizes –  both of these are for players outside of the US. For US players there are aleady Main Event qualfiers running, and I am keeping tabs on all the sites for any side-event packages. Check out my 2016 US WSOP Qualifiers page for the time being. World Series Side Event Qualifiers – Worldwide Players 888 Poker

888 have shot up the rankings, and are now the 2nd most popular poker site online (after only the giant PokerStars and before the network of many brands iPoker). They are making a big splash with their qualifiers for the World Series this year – which includes a $3000 Side Event prize package as well as a $12,500 trip to the Main Event.

This package is a bit special, as the target event has a guaranteed first place prize of $888,888 (the buy-in is $888). This is the 'Crazy Eights' side event number #54. You can will also win 4 nights at the Rio and plenty of cash for your flight and expenses when you get there.

There are 2 things I like about the way 888 is doing things this year. First the 'Steps' system starts at just 1c (you can skip the lower levels if you want), second you can use the $88 in free play on offer for all new signups (no deposit or credit card info needed) to join some of the qualifiers. Those steps target a $160 online tournament every Tuesday, which awards the $3000 prize packages.

WSOP Side Event Qualifiers – Titan Poker

side event wsop qualifiers at Titan PokerIt is almost comical how far out of their way iPoker have gone not to use any trademark's, instead of World Series qualifiers, they are offering a Viva Las Vegas promo - oh and while you are there they will buy you into a No-Limit Holdem tournament with a €1300 ($1500) entry fee on June the 24th.

A quick peek at the schedule shows that this is event #41, the Monster Stack NL Holdem with a $1500 buy-in.

There are a total of 42 packages on offer and the total prize is worth €5500 and covers your flights + entry + hotel stay (at Treasure Island, which seems like an odd choice_.

What I like about the way Titan do things is that there are 3 stages to every qualifier. This means smaller bankroll players can win their way through to the games which give away the prizes, and bigger bankroll players can save time buy buying in directly. Add to this the recreational type players you'll find at the tables (iPoker is mostly made up of sports betting sites) and you have a combination which is a must-play to maximize your chances of bagging that Vegas trip.

SNG Planet readers can still claim my $20 extra free cash offer along with their 200% welcome bonus + package. Register with bonus code SNGPLANET, and that extra will be paid direct to your player account within 48 hours (usually sooner).

Check out the side event qualifiers disguised as Las Vegas vacation holidays at www.titanpoker.com for yourself now.
