5 Great Reasons To Play SNGs At Pacific Poker

  1. Loose Opposition: Really loose opponents make for profitable Sit N Go tournaments! 888.com has more than its fair share of very bad opponents, this is in part due to the site being linked to the largest online casino… fill your pockets!

  2. Great Software: The 3d table view feels more like a live game than many other poker sites – the action buttons are clear too, reducing the chance of a costly misclick!

  3. Sign-Up Bonus: Pacific / 888.com now have a huge $400 (100%) sign-up bonus waiting for you to claim. This is in 2 parts and includes $100 instantly credited to your real-money account and available for play, with the other $300 clearing at just 14 'points' per dollar. This brings the total (see888.com Poker Review And Sign-Up Bonus for more on this) into line with rival sites - and faster clearing than most too!

  4. Game Choice: The 888.com Double or Nothing SNGs are getting popular at this site, where you can also try unique 3-player 'triple ups' ultra turbo 88c games and the usual choice of table size and speed, combine choice and soft games and we all get an opportunity to profit!

  5. Promotions: Pacific / 888.com seem to have a new promotion every week including cash give-aways, trips to live events and many more. They really make an effort to look after their regular players with a new VIP club which is raising some eyebows throughout the poker industry.

Pacific Poker Single Table SNG Review

Since the last review the new software has introduced a SNGs tab on the top level of the lobby (they used to be a subset of tournaments). You then get a bunch of buttons for Fast, Double or Nothing, All-In, Satellites, Super-Turbo and New at the top - and filters at the bottom for sizes and buy-ins.

The standard SNGs at Pacific are 10 players, 1500 chips to start and blind level increases every 7 minutes. Blinds start at 10 / 20 and go up to 15 / 30, 25/ 50, 50 / 100, 75 / 100, 100 / 200 etc – the bubble often comes at the 100 / 200 level (crazy opposition a special feature!). With turbo games you will have a shorter stack to start (depends on the game with 300, 500, 800 and 1000 chip starting stacks) 3 minute blinds and the 15 / 30 level to start.

Buy-ins for the standard SNGs start at just 55c making this a good place for those new to this form of poker. The scale is $1, $2.50c, $5, $10, $20, $30, $50 and $100. The fees become smaller (as a percentage of the buy-in) the higher you go. There are higher buy-ins available for the 6-max and biggest heads-up Sit N Go poker tournaments. Double or Nothing games are very popular at 888 and have smaller fees than their 'standard payout' equivalents at the lower levels (same at 10% as you get a little higher). While $108 games are offered, the $33 and below levels is where the action is at this site/

6-Max and SNGs are available, with the old 5-max games no longer running. A feature of Pacific poker SNG tournaments selector is the ‘Triple Up’ SNGs. These are 3-player Sit N Goes, with the winner taking all of the prize pool – a serious consideration if your best poker game is short-handed Sit and Go play.

Pacific / 888.com Multi-Table Sit N Go Overview

Multi-Table SNG Tournaments at Pacific follow a similar buy-in structure as the 1-tables, starting from just 50c and going up to $30. There are 20, 30 and 50 seat SNGs available paying 4 and 5 prizes. Turbo multi-table SNGs known as ‘Express’ on Pacific are also available.

Heads-Up SNGs range from just 50c and go up to a huge $750. The fee for heads-up sit and go tournaments is lower (as at most sites) than the standard games. Choose evening and weekends for traffic in either of these variations - during the day the multi-table tournaments make a great alternative.
