How to win at Troll Hunters
The first thing you’ll notice when playing is that the ‘slot’ has a 5x5 configuration and instead of the symbols being on reels, they will simply fall into the game from above, all neatly fitting on top of one another due to their square shapes. Interestingly, to win you’ll need to land at least 3 symbols in a row either horizontally or vertically, which certainly makes the game different. Should you land exactly 3 in a row, the middle symbol of the three will turn into a golden wild and the two either side will disappear to be replaced by the symbols from above falling into their place, while landing 4 or 5 in a row will simply see all of these symbols disappear. After the disappearance of the winning symbols, the ‘reels’ will be evaluated to see if any additional wins are now in place and you’ll be paid accordingly, with the added bonus that each additional win will have an increasing multiplier attached. This all means that you can actually enjoy a large number of wins with just one spin.
The bonus feature is very different to what you might find elsewhere. Before the symbols drop into place before a spin, the bare backdrop may display the word ‘BONUS’ vertically behind any of the five reels. As the symbols disappear after a win, you will start to reveal the word and if all the symbols from a ‘BONUS’ reel do indeed disappear, you’ll now enter the bonus round. The feature is original too. You’ll now find a new set of symbols which will join the three female warriors but now you’ll be paid simply by landing 5 or more of the same symbol anywhere on the reels, much like a scatter symbol. You’ll have 10 free drops in the bonus feature but should you land five or more of the troll symbol, you’ll gain an additional 20 free drops, which will almost certainly mean a big feature payout. Because of the different payout structure, you’ll find a completely separate pay table for the bonus feature.

Because of the slightly strange way that you win at the slot, you won’t find the usual win lines. In fact, the only choice you’ll make before each spin is the total cost, with options for 20c, €1, €2, €10 and €40. You’ll see the pay table update dynamically based upon your chosen stake.
The three female Nordic warriors are the highest paying in both the standard game and the bonus feature – the blonde haired warrior paying out slightly more than both the red head and the brunette.
