Another Wednesday rolls around, and time for another quick-fire round up of the poker site promos which actually matter to fans of tournaments, SNGs and satellites….

We have to start by mentioning that the FTOPS is back running – and bigger and better than ever (goes without saying in todays marketing-heavy world!)… not sure exactly how many events I’ll be playing in yet, on the smaller buy-in’s front I really liked the look of event #8 the $120+$9 Knockout Bounty on Sunday the 18th – will try a few satellites and see which other of the weekend events I can play in! Next up the LA Poker Classic at the Commerce – this is a WPT event with seriously life-changing prize pools (well, for most of us anyway) and the main event starts on the 25th of this month. There are opportunities to win a seat through satellite qualifiers at both Party Poker (who recently bought the WPT brand) and at Full Tilt Poker. Finally for this week something for the often neglected Omaha fans – we are aware that many PLO and PLO8 / O8 fans are not yet aware that there is a new tool – approved by the major poker sites – which can be a real help in odds calculations… if you are learning the game this is a great profit booster, and if you are already experienced this helps highlight the ev of those marginal spots where odds often dictate that you stack off as a dog for long term profits!
