Poker Stars Makes Big Changes To UKIPT 2010 Schedule
PokerStars has announced a couple of major changes to the United Kingdom and Ireland Poker Tour. A new, seventh stop on the 2010 UK & Ireland Poker Tour has been added with the UKIPT Edinburgh, to take place at Grosvenor Casino at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh, England, from August 19 to 22.
The direct buy-in for the UKIPT Edinburgh is £550, but just as with all the other stops on the 2010 UKIPT, PokerStars players can win free seats in the event through online satellites, happening now. Even as the UKIPT Killarney is in mid-play (taking place June 24 to 27) current UKIPT 2010 satellite tournaments are taking place at Poker Stars right now for the UKIPT Brighton, the next stop on the season one UKIPT schedule, taking place July 15- 19. All PokerStars UKIPT satellites start with buy-ins as low as $5.50 or 250 FPPs. Steps Sit and Go satellite tournaments into UKIPT 2010 events are also running all the time at PokerStars for buy-ins as low as $7.50 or 500 FPPs.
Also taking place in Edinburgh during the UKIPT stop there will be the Edinburgh Fringe Arts Festival.
The other change in the 2010 UKIPT schedule is that the buy-in into the UKIPT Dublin has been reduced to £560, more in line with those of the other events on this season’s schedule. The guaranteed prize pool for this main event hasn’t been reduced, though, remaining at a healthy €250,000.
Season One of the PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker Tour is proving to be a proud predecessor for future PokerStars UKIPT seasons to follow.
